During the approach phase, Flight 507 initiated a go-around and followed air traffic control instructions, while also responding to onboard traffic alerts. At the same time, Flight 1152 was taking off from a parallel runway. Due to the sequence of instructions, both aircraft experienced reduced separation, coming within approximately 500 feet vertically before corrective actions were taken.

Both crews reacted promptly to alerts from the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), executing coordinated maneuvers to maintain safe distance. Air traffic control subsequently issued updated instructions, directing altitude adjustments to both aircraft to resolve the conflict. Flight 507 later landed safely in Nashville without further issues, while Flight 1152 continued its route to Knoxville as scheduled. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the event and has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
