LATAM Launches Brasília–Campina Grande Route

LATAM Launches Brasília–Campina Grande Route. LATAM Airlines Brasil officially launched its new route between Brasília and Campina Grande this Monday, further expanding its domestic network and strengthening air connectivity in northeastern Brazil. With the addition of the new service, Campina Grande becomes the 62nd domestic destination served by LATAM in Brazil, reinforcing the airline’s largest network ever in the Brazilian market. The launch also comes at a strategic time for the region, driven by growing tourism demand and the upcoming São João festivities, one of Brazil’s most important cultural celebrations.

During the peak travel season between June and July, the route will operate daily flights between Brasília International Airport and Presidente João Suassuna Airport. Starting in August, the service will continue with five weekly flights. LATAM is operating the route with Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, accommodating up to 180 passengers. Flights depart Brasília at 8:40 a.m. and arrive in Campina Grande at 10:55 a.m., while return services leave Campina Grande at 11:45 a.m. and land in the Brazilian capital at 2:10 p.m. In addition, the new route will provide passengers from Paraíba with improved access to LATAM’s international connections through Brasília, including destinations such as Santiago and Lima.

Furthermore, the inauguration coincides with preparations for Campina Grande’s traditional São João festival, which in 2026 will feature 33 days of celebrations and attract thousands of visitors from across Brazil. Local authorities and aviation industry representatives highlighted that the new flights are expected to boost tourism, business travel, job creation, and regional economic development. LATAM also reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Brazil’s aviation market, noting that since 2012 the airline has expanded its operations from 44 to more than 60 airports across the country. Today, the carrier continues to lead both the domestic and international aviation markets in Brazil, according to data from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
