TAAG Angola Airlines has introduced the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner on its Luanda–Lisbon route, marking the aircraft’s debut on the airline’s European network. The deployment represents another milestone in TAAG’s long-haul fleet renewal strategy and follows the aircraft’s certification by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to operate within Europe.

During the initial phase, the Dreamliner will operate two weekly flights between the two cities. Flights will depart from Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda on Friday and Saturday evenings, while return services from Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport will operate on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Lisbon is TAAG’s leading intercontinental destination and one of the airline’s highest-demand markets, supported by the strong historical, economic, and cultural ties between Angola and Portugal.

The Boeing 787-10 is configured to accommodate 367 passengers, including 24 Business Class seats and 343 Economy Class seats. In addition to offering lower fuel consumption and improved operational efficiency, the aircraft features a next-generation personal inflight entertainment system and fully flat beds in Business Class. With the introduction of the 787-10 on its Lisbon service, TAAG continues advancing its international expansion and fleet modernization strategy, strengthening the presence of the Dreamliner family across its European, Asian, and American operations while reinforcing Angola’s role as a strategic air transport hub connecting continents.
