The centerpiece of the upgrade is the installation of the new-generation TiSeat 2V seats, developed by French manufacturer Expliseat. The redesigned seats feature improved cushions, more functional tray tables, and integrated holders for smartphones and tablets, allowing passengers to use their personal devices more comfortably throughout the flight. First-row seating has also been redesigned to provide additional personal space. Built with carbon fiber and titanium, the lightweight TiSeat 2V seats contribute to lower aircraft weight, improving fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

The cabin refurbishment also includes a new LED ambient lighting system, individual reading lights, and completely redesigned carpeting, creating a refreshed onboard atmosphere while maintaining the aircraft’s 78-seat, two-by-two configuration. The Dash 8-400 will continue to offer no middle seats, with 32 inches of legroom in PorterReserve and 30 inches in PorterClassic.

With this modernization program, Porter becomes the first Canadian airline to equip its Dash 8-400 fleet with the new-generation TiSeat 2V seats, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, operational efficiency, and passenger comfort. According to Kent Woodside, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Porter Airlines, customer feedback played a key role in shaping the project, with seat comfort consistently identified as one of the most important aspects of the regional travel experience.
