Induction of the initial passenger aircraft into the modification line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, with redeliveries of the completed freighters slated to begin during the second quarter of the same year. Conversion and heavy maintenance work will be performed at ST Engineering‘s airframe MRO facility in Singapore.
Sigthor Einarsson, Managing Partner at Icelease, noted that the agreement represents a key strategic step for the company and its Dublin-based subsidiary IAT Leasing, building on a 20-year working relationship with Boeing. The incoming 767-300BCF widebodies will join a fleet that already features seven Boeing 737-800BCF narrowbody freighters.
