Air Canada conectará Monterrey con Montréal y ampliará sus vuelos a Vancouver en 2027

Air Canada to Launch Nonstop Monterrey-Montreal Route and Extend Vancouver Service in 2027. Canadian flag carrier Air Canada has unveiled plans to broaden air connectivity between Mexico and Canada through a multi-route network expansion at Monterrey International Airport (MTY). Beginning May 1, 2027, for the summer travel season, the airline will introduce a new nonstop service linking Monterrey directly to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) operating three times weekly. The new link will complement existing year-round four-weekly services to Toronto Pearson (YYZ), providing Monterrey with direct connections to all three of Air Canada’s primary global hubs.

The operational expansion also includes the seasonal summer extension of the Monterrey-Vancouver (YVR) route. Scheduled to inaugurate on December 3, 2026, the Pacific link will maintain operations through the 2027 summer period starting May 1 with two weekly frequencies. Combined frequencies into Montréal and Toronto will offer daily non-stop capacity to Eastern Canada, whereas Vancouver will serve as a streamlined gateway toward high-demand destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, along with extensive connections into Air Canada’s transatlantic and North American networks.

Ricardo Dueñas, CEO of airport operator OMA, underlined that the arrival of Montreal and reinforced operations to Canada solidify Monterrey’s standing as the premier air transportation hub for Northern Mexico, strengthening trade, corporate travel, and cross-border investment across Nuevo León. Concurrently, Air Canada executives and state tourism authorities highlighted that the multi-hub scheduling framework will enhance point-to-point capacity and generate new economic and tourism opportunities between both nations.
