Air Transat Launches New Quebec City Flights to Marseille and Nantes. Air Transat, recently named the World’s Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax in 2025, has expanded its transatlantic network with the launch of two new direct routes connecting Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport with the French cities of Marseille and Nantes. The new services strengthen the airline’s presence in France while offering travelers from Québec City more nonstop access to Europe, a market that continues to experience growing demand for leisure and cultural travel.

The Québec City–Marseille route was officially inaugurated this week and will operate once weekly every Thursday until October 9, 2026. Meanwhile, flights between Québec City and Nantes are scheduled to begin on June 2, operating every Tuesday through October 20, 2026. In addition, Air Transat confirmed that the Nantes route will return during the winter holiday season from December 23, 2026, to January 13, 2027, responding to strong seasonal demand. According to Sebastian Ponce, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, these new services are part of the airline’s diversification strategy and are aimed at connecting travelers with some of France’s most popular regions through a comfortable and customer-focused experience.

Furthermore, both routes are operated with Airbus A321LR aircraft, allowing Air Transat to offer efficient nonstop transatlantic flights from Québec City. The aircraft feature modern cabins, individual entertainment screens with French-language content, complimentary meals, and a premium 12-seat Club Class designed for enhanced comfort. Local officials and tourism leaders welcomed the announcement, emphasizing the economic and tourism benefits these routes are expected to generate for the Québec City region. Airport authorities also highlighted that direct flights to Paris generated approximately $33 million in tourism spending in 2025, with the new Marseille and Nantes services expected to further boost international visitation and strengthen ties between Québec and France.
