BermudAir orders 10 Airbus A220-300 aircraft to support Caribbean and North American expansion. BermudAir has placed an order for 10 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, becoming a first-time Airbus customer and taking a major step in its long-term growth strategy. The order, which was previously listed anonymously in Airbus’ March 2026 backlog, was officially announced at the Farnborough Airshow. The new aircraft will support the airline’s expansion across Bermuda, the Caribbean, and North America.

According to BermudAir, the A220-300 was selected for its extended range, fuel efficiency, and strong performance at airports with operational constraints. Founder and CEO Adam Scott said the aircraft will enable new nonstop routes while providing passengers with a quieter, more spacious cabin that aligns with the airline’s premium service concept.

Airbus highlighted the agreement as another example of the A220’s versatility in regional markets. BermudAir’s aircraft will feature a 135-seat, three-class configuration and deliver up to 25% lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per seat compared with previous-generation aircraft. As of June 2026, the A220 program had delivered 526 aircraft to more than 25 operators, with over 1,100 orders worldwide.
