Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama handled 13,719,707 passengers between January and July 2026—a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Including infants under two, total passenger volume reached 13,808,023 (a 16% jump). In July alone, the hub processed 2,188,412 travelers (2,201,370 including infants), outperforming growth projections and cementing Panama’s role as a major Latin American connection hub.

Operational Highlights
- ✈ Transit Passenger Dominance: Connecting traffic accounted for 75% of total passengers in July (1,648,644 travelers).
- ✈ Aircraft Movements: Aircraft operations rose 11% year-over-year from January to July, totaling 105,770 flights.
- ✈ Top Destinations: Serving 91 international destinations and one domestic route via 14 passenger and 14 cargo carriers, Bogotá led as the top market with 592,388 passengers, followed by Miami, San José (Costa Rica), Punta Cana, and Medellín.
- ✈ Cargo Growth: Tocumen moved 149,987 metric tons of cargo through July (+8% YoY), including 21,575 tons in July alone (+5% YoY).
