Wingo Expands Flights to Santa Marta from Bucaramanga. Wingo is expanding its operations in Bucaramanga by increasing seat capacity on its direct route connecting the capital of Santander with Santa Marta. Effective August 19, the airline added 7,812 additional seats on this key route. Previously operating twice weekly on Fridays and Sundays, the service will expand to three weekly frequencies, with up to four weekly flights during peak demand periods.

Higher Frequencies
The updated schedule retains the Friday and Sunday flights while introducing additional frequencies on Mondays and Wednesdays depending on seasonality. Wingo noted that the expansion addresses strong market demand and aims to offer more direct travel options to the Colombian Caribbean. So far in 2026, the low-cost carrier has transported over 103,000 passengers across its routes from Bucaramanga.

This increase aligns with Wingo’s strategy to strengthen point-to-point non-stop connectivity from Santander. Currently, the airline offers direct flights from Bucaramanga to Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, and Aruba. The seasonal Aruba connection will resume between December 12, 2026, and January 16, 2027, for the year-end holiday season. Tickets for the expanded schedule are available via Wingo’s official booking channels.
