The service resumption follows the announcement by Venezuelan authorities regarding the reopening of Maiquetía International Airport on September 1 under temporary operational restrictions. Consequently, the carrier has adjusted its initial capacity, down from its pre-earthquake schedule of seven weekly flights (one daily), with plans to progressively increase frequencies as airport infrastructure improves. During the emergency, LATAM maintained passenger connectivity through Barcelona as an alternate airport while continuing all-cargo services from the United States.
