Emirates SkyCargo aumenta sus vuelos a Buenos Aires y las exportaciones argentinas crecen un 57%

Emirates SkyCargo has strengthened its presence in South America by adding seven weekly freighter flights since March 2026. The expansion includes three additional weekly frequencies to Buenos Aires, one to Bogotá, two to São Paulo, and one to Quito. According to the company, the increased capacity drove year-on-year export growth across all four markets: Argentina recorded a 57% increase, Brazil grew 22%, Colombia rose 18%, and Ecuador climbed 14%. The strategy aims to improve South American exporters’ connectivity to international markets while complementing the cargo capacity available in the bellies of passenger flights.

The South American expansion is part of Emirates SkyCargo’s global growth plan. Since March 2026, the company has taken delivery of seven Boeing 777 freighters and added its first Boeing 777-300ERSF, a passenger aircraft converted into a freighter. By the end of March 2027, it expects to operate a fleet of 23 dedicated freighters. The airline has also expanded its network of cargo-only destinations from just over 40 in March to more than 60 in July 2026. Since April 2024, Emirates SkyCargo has transported nearly 80,000 tonnes of perishable goods originating from the four South American markets, including 66,000 tonnes of flowers, reinforcing its role in logistics supply chains that require speed and temperature control.
