Arajet Launches Mendoza Service and Expands Presence in Argentina.Dominican low-cost carrier Arajet continues expanding its footprint in South America with the launch of a new route connecting Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic with Governor Francisco Gabrielli International Airport “El Plumerillo” (MDZ) in Mendoza, Argentina. With this addition, Mendoza becomes the airline’s third destination in Argentina after Buenos Aires and Córdoba, reinforcing the carrier’s strategy to strengthen connectivity in one of the region’s most important aviation markets. Furthermore, Arajet is preparing to launch service to Rosario, which will become its fourth destination in the country.

The new route will operate three times weekly on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft configured with 185 seats in a single-class layout. According to the published schedule, flight DM 6392 departs Punta Cana at 5:48 p.m. and arrives in Mendoza at 2:31 a.m. the following day. The return service, flight DM 6393, departs Mendoza at 3:31 a.m. and lands in Punta Cana at 10:14 a.m., with all times listed in local time. Through Arajet’s hubs in Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, passengers traveling from Mendoza will gain access to a broader network across the Caribbean, Central America, and North America.

In addition, the arrival of Arajet is expected to provide a significant boost to Mendoza’s tourism and international connectivity. Increased competition in the market could help generate more affordable fares and additional travel options for passengers.
