TAAG to Launch Direct Luanda–Guangzhou Service in June 2026.TAAG Angola Airlines has announced the launch of a new international route connecting Luanda and Guangzhou, further strengthening air links between Africa and Asia. The airline officially unveiled the service during an event in Luanda attended by Angolan and Chinese government representatives, members of the diplomatic community, corporate clients, and aviation industry stakeholders. The occasion also marked the opening of ticket sales, with commercial operations scheduled to begin on June 23, 2026.

The new route will connect Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda with Guangzhou, one of China’s most important economic, industrial, and logistics centers. Initially, the service will operate once a week, with flights departing Angola every Tuesday. TAAG will deploy its Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the route, offering passengers a modern travel experience with enhanced comfort, improved fuel efficiency, and advanced onboard technology. The addition of the Dreamliner also supports the airline’s efforts to modernize its fleet and expand its long-haul network.

The Guangzhou service represents a significant milestone in TAAG’s international growth strategy and highlights the airline’s ambition to position Angola as a key gateway between Africa and Asia.
