SpiceJet adds three Airbus A320s under damp lease to support network expansion. SpiceJet has expanded its fleet with the addition of three Airbus A320 aircraft under damp lease agreements, reinforcing its strategy to increase capacity and strengthen its domestic network. The airline confirmed that all three aircraft have already arrived in India and are scheduled to enter commercial service later this week.

Under the damp lease arrangement, the lessor provides the aircraft, pilots and maintenance services, while SpiceJet supplies the cabin crew and operates the flights. The additional capacity will allow the airline to increase frequencies on existing routes, improve connectivity across key domestic markets and support the launch of new services.

The carrier also revealed that it is in advanced discussions with other lessors to bring additional aircraft into its fleet over the coming months as part of its fleet expansion program. According to Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, the new aircraft will help the airline meet growing passenger demand while continuing to expand its network efficiently.
