Aerolíneas Argentinas Resumes Operations Over Venezuelan Airspace to Optimize Caribbean and U.S. Routes. Aerolíneas Argentinas has resumed utilizing Venezuelan airspace for select long-haul flights connecting to the Caribbean and the United States. The decision is driven strictly by operational factors, allowing the Argentine flag carrier to restore more direct flight paths, optimize international route efficiency, and streamline overall operations across its long-haul network.

The operational change primarily impacts high-demand international routes departing from Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza). The use of Venezuelan airspace will apply to approximately 12 to 14 weekly flights bound for Miami International Airport, 4 to 5 weekly operations to Queen Beatrix International Airport in Aruba, and 5 to 7 weekly flights to Punta Cana International Airport. By accessing these flight corridors, the airline avoids lengthy detours that previously extended total block times.

In addition to reducing flight duration, flying more direct trajectories enables Aerolíneas Argentinas to lower fuel consumption and lower operational expenses. The carrier emphasized that the route adjustments represent a technical optimization of its international network rather than a geopolitical shift. By capitalizing on shorter flight paths across the region, the company aims to reduce total mileage flown while maximizing fleet utilization across its core Americas network.
