Air Europa Resumes Direct Flights to Caracas Following Earthquake Rehabilitation.Air Europa will resume its direct flights between Spain and Caracas on Tuesday, September 1, ending the temporary operational adjustments implemented after the dual earthquakes on June 24 in Venezuela. The Spanish carrier will operate five weekly frequencies (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) into Simón Bolívar International Airport (Maiquetía) following the completion of airport infrastructure repairs.

The return to Maiquetía concludes a two-month contingency operation during which Air Europa rerouted its transatlantic flights to Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia. By shifting operations to Valencia early during the emergency, the airline maintained continuous air connectivity between Venezuela and Europe throughout the recovery period.

The route will continue to be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner widebody aircraft, fully restoring Air Europa’s regular long-haul schedule between Madrid and the Venezuelan capital.
