This marks the second time LATAM will fly a Pontiff during a papal visit to Peru. In January 2018, the group was chosen to carry Pope Francis during his tour of Chile and Peru, which included domestic sectors between Lima, Puerto Maldonado, and Trujillo, as well as the long-haul flight from Lima back to Rome.

During his upcoming visit, Pope Leo XIV will travel across several Peruvian cities, including Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco, and Pucallpa, meeting with local authorities, communities, and faithful across various regions. At the conclusion of his visit, he will return to Rome on a flight operated by LATAM Airlines Peru.
