Boeing Awarded $14.7 Billion Contract to Triple PAC-3 Seeker Production. The agreement enables the U.S. manufacturer to triple its output of the components used in Patriot air defense systems.

The award falls under a seven-year framework agreement with the U.S. Department of War aimed at scaling up domestic defense manufacturing capacity. Boeing‘s seekers allow PAC-3 missiles to detect, track, and intercept ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft, and hypersonic weapons.

To support higher output, Boeing has begun expanding and upgrading its manufacturing facility in Huntsville (Alabama). The expansion is expected to create hundreds of regional jobs as part of a broader U.S. defense push to boost critical munitions production for domestic forces and international allies.
