Furthermore, this initiative aligns with Colombia’s positioning as a competitive destination for high-value tourism segments. According to ProColombia, wellness tourism in the country generates significantly higher spending compared to the average international traveler. Aruba and Curaçao have become key source markets, ranking as the second most important origin for medical tourism in Colombia, with sustained growth over the past decade. Therefore, the alliance not only addresses healthcare access but also creates new business opportunities across tourism, hospitality, and transportation sectors, strengthening regional integration.

To support this initiative, Wingo will provide significant seat capacity on its routes connecting Aruba and Curaçao with cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, and Bucaramanga, while SURA will contribute its expertise in preventive healthcare through its medical facilities in these same cities. The product will be marketed via Wingo Vacations and will include flights, hotel stays, and executive medical check-ups starting at USD 1,020. In this way, “Health Check In” emerges as an innovative model that integrates health, tourism, and connectivity, with potential to expand into other Caribbean and Central American markets.
