Among the key changes, power banks are only allowed in carry-on baggage and are strictly prohibited in checked luggage. In addition, each passenger may carry a maximum of two units, which must be individually protected to prevent short circuits or accidental activation. The regulation also bans the use, charging, or use of these devices to power other electronics during the flight.

Regarding capacity limits, batteries up to 100 Wh are allowed without additional approval, while those between 100 Wh and 160 Wh require prior authorization from the airline. The aviation authority urged airlines and operators to update their procedures to ensure compliance with these measures and to maintain high safety standards for all air transport users.
