LATAM Airlines Colombia Expands Caribbean Connectivity with New San Andrés  Barranquilla Route. LATAM Airlines Colombia has launched its new San Andrés–Barranquilla–San Andrés route, responding to growing demand for connectivity to the Colombian Caribbean and expanding travel options across the region. Flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport and Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport, with same-day return service. The route is designed to support both business and leisure travel while strengthening regional tourism.

The service is operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 174 passengers per flight, ensuring an efficient and competitive offering in a growing market. According to Erika Zarante, the route represents more than just a new connection, as it positions Barranquilla as a strategic hub in the Caribbean while enhancing access to San Andrés. This expansion reinforces LATAM’s presence in key domestic markets and contributes to the development of the aviation sector along Colombia’s Atlantic coast.

Additionally, LATAM Cargo Colombia supports the operation by facilitating cargo connectivity between regions, with projections to transport up to 24 tons per month to the island. So far, 8 tons of mixed cargo—including medical supplies, food, and specialized goods—have already been transported. With this new route, LATAM Airlines Colombia now operates 26 routes across 18 destinations nationwide, strengthening its domestic network and reaffirming its commitment to regional connectivity and economic growth.
