SAS Tops Ranking of the World’s Most On-Time Airlines

Scandinavian airline SAS has been ranked as the world’s most punctual global carrier, according to a recent international report evaluating the operational performance of major airlines worldwide. The airline achieved an on-time arrival rate of 89.53%, outperforming leading international carriers such as Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways. The results highlight the aviation industry’s continued focus on operational reliability amid growing passenger demand and the sustained recovery of global air travel.

The ranking also features several of the world’s most recognized full-service airlines. Singapore Airlines secured second place with an on-time performance of 87.52%, followed by Qatar Airways at 86.94% and Lufthansa at 86.34%. Meanwhile, British Airways, Iberia, and Aeroméxico all earned positions within the top seven, underscoring the strong competitiveness among European, Asian, and Latin American airlines. Delta Air Lines stood out as the carrier with the highest number of tracked flights in the ranking, with more than 154,000 operations monitored.
