One of the most significant additions to the network will be the launch of a new nonstop route between San Francisco and Guatemala City beginning in June 2026. The airline will also continue strengthening high-demand services connecting major cities in the United States with Bogotá, Quito, Guayaquil, San Salvador and Guatemala City. Among the routes receiving additional frequencies are Bogotá–Orlando, Miami–San Salvador, Bogotá–Washington, Bogotá–Tampa, Guatemala City–Los Angeles and New York–Quito. Avianca stated that the expansion is designed to respond to growing passenger demand and improve travel options ahead of the upcoming international soccer competition expected to boost regional travel demand across the Americas.

Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Director of Sales for North America, said the airline is taking its U.S. network “to the next level” by increasing capacity on some of its most popular routes and offering passengers more convenient access to Latin America. According to the executive, the goal is to provide seamless nonstop connectivity while maintaining the reliability and service standards expected from Avianca. Tickets for the expanded summer schedule are already available through the airline’s website, mobile application, travel agencies and contact center.
