Avianca Expands U.S. Network With More Flights.Avianca, part of Grupo Abra, continues strengthening its international network with additional frequencies to the United States at a time when air connectivity has become a key driver for tourism, business, and economic development across the region. As part of this expansion strategy, Avianca announced that sales opened on May 8 for new frequencies to the United States. Among the highlights is the Bogotá–Fort Lauderdale route, which will add an extra daily frequency starting on June 1, 2026, bringing the operation to two daily flights between both cities. Flight AV66 will depart Bogotá at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the return service, operated as flight AV67, will leave South Florida at 10:45 a.m. and land in the Colombian capital at 1:25 p.m. This increase will provide greater flexibility and more connection opportunities for both leisure and corporate travelers.

Additionally, the Barranquilla–Miami route will also see a significant boost in operations. Currently served with three weekly flights, the route will become daily starting June 1, 2026. Flight AV2 will depart Barranquilla at 7:50 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 11:45 a.m., while the return flight, AV3, will leave Miami at 1:30 p.m. and land in Colombia at 3:15 p.m. Currently, Avianca operates more than 400 weekly flights to and from the United States, connecting 14 Latin American cities with strategic destinations such as Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, while also improving access to more than 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
