Fiji Airways and WestJet Expand Connectivity Between Canada and the South Pacific. Fiji Airways and WestJet have announced a new codeshare agreement that will allow passengers to travel seamlessly across both airlines’ networks with a single booking and integrated travel experience. The partnership will improve access to destinations in Canada, Fiji, New Zealand, and the wider South Pacific, while also strengthening Fiji Airways’ growing presence in North America through the expansion of its Vancouver operations.

Under the agreement, Fiji Airways will place its “FJ” code on several domestic WestJet routes, including services to Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Halifax, providing convenient connections from major Canadian cities to Fiji Airways’ international flights. In return, WestJet will add its “WS” code to Fiji Airways flights between Vancouver and Nadi, as well as onward connections to destinations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington. The partnership will allow Canadian travelers easier access to Fiji Airways’ extensive South Pacific network while enhancing travel options for passengers across both carriers.

The collaboration is further supported by Fiji Airways’ expansion in Vancouver. Beginning June 18, the airline will operate three year-round weekly flights between Nadi and Vancouver on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In addition, starting September 8, Fiji Airways will deploy the Airbus A350 on all Vancouver flights, increasing capacity and enhancing the onboard experience. Passengers booking under the codeshare agreement will also benefit from seamless check-in, through-checked baggage, and the ability to earn and redeem WestJet loyalty points across their journey. The agreement comes as demand between Canada and Fiji continues to grow, with passenger traffic between the two countries increasing by 19% year over year.
