The authorization is expected to improve air integration between strategic regions for Argentina’s productive sectors. In the case of General Pico, the new connection will particularly benefit La Pampa’s agro-industrial sector, while services to Comodoro Rivadavia and Perito Moreno are expected to support the oil industry and regional economies across Patagonia. In addition, the possibility of transporting both passengers and cargo will expand logistics and commercial opportunities for these provinces.

The decision forms part of the National Government’s “Open Skies” policy, a strategy aimed at increasing air connectivity, facilitating the launch of new routes, and encouraging greater participation of airlines in the domestic market. In this context, the expansion of operators such as American Jet S.A. seeks to generate more transportation options, stimulate competition, and promote economic growth in different regions of the country.
