The move represents an important step in Porter’s evolution from a regional carrier into an airline with growing international ambitions. By joining IATA, Porter gains a formal voice in shaping global aviation standards and policies while also strengthening its ability to build relationships with airlines around the world. According to Porter Airlines President and CEO Michael Deluce, the carrier has seen growing interest from international airlines seeking partnerships, making IATA membership a valuable platform for expanding cooperation and contributing to industry discussions.

Membership also opens the door to additional interline and codeshare opportunities, further enhancing connectivity for passengers.
