The new financing covers part of Porter’s firm order for 75 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, of which 54 have already been delivered since the first aircraft entered the fleet in 2023. The E195-E2 has played a central role in the airline’s expansion strategy across North America, enabling Porter to grow its route network throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America. In addition to increasing operational efficiency, the aircraft offers lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions compared with previous-generation models.
Rob Palmer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Porter Airlines, said the agreement represents a significant step toward securing financing for most of the remaining aircraft included in the original order. He noted that the funding will support the airline’s continued growth while maintaining financial flexibility as deliveries continue over the coming years.

Embraer also welcomed the agreement, highlighting Porter’s rapid growth as one of the world’s largest operators of the E195-E2 and emphasizing that the financing will further reinforce the Brazilian manufacturer’s presence in the North American market.
