Abra Group Reports Solid Q2 2026 Financial Results. Abra Group, the holding company and parent of Avianca and GOL, reported its financial and operational results for the second quarter of 2026, generating US$2.6 billion in operational revenues. Driven by steady passenger demand alongside expansion in cargo and loyalty revenues, total revenues rose by 17.7% year-over-year. The holding company transported 17.6 million passengers during the quarter—a 4.3% increase compared to the previous year—across a network of over 370 routes and 145 destinations in 27 countries.

Financial performance remained resilient despite volatile fuel prices. Passenger revenues accounted for US$2.1 billion, while cargo and other ancillary business lines generated US$448 million, reflecting a 14.8% interannual growth. To mitigate fuel cost pressures, Abra Group executed hedging strategies, capacity adjustments, and efficiency programs, offsetting 49% of the fuel price surge, saving US$70 million in costs, and generating US$75 million in additional synergies. The group maintained a strong liquidity position of US$2.06 billion, representing 19.6% of last twelve months (LTM) revenues.

Strategically, Abra Group achieved major milestones during the quarter, including signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Air Canada and Etihad Airways, as well as long-term fleet and engine agreements with Embraer and CFM International. The group also secured regulatory approvals in Brazil, Chile, and Peru for its proposed business combination with SKY Airline. Additionally, customer experience enhancements continued with the launch of Magno—the top elite tier for LifeMiles—and the expansion of the INSIGNIA premium onboard product across key international routes operated by Avianca and GOL.
