Viva Expands Tamaulipas Connectivity with New Tampico–Nuevo Laredo Direct Flight . Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier Viva has announced a new intrastate route linking Tampico and Nuevo Laredo, expanding regional air connectivity within the state of Tamaulipas beginning November 14, 2026. The non-stop service will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays to support business, leisure, and cross-border travel via nearby Laredo, Texas.
Flight Schedules and Regional Operations
✈ Flight Schedule: Departs Tampico at 07:50, arriving in Nuevo Laredo at 09:00. The return flight departs Nuevo Laredo at 09:40, landing in Tampico at 11:00.
✈ Tampico Network: The route expands Viva’s network out of Tampico to six destinations (Cancún, Mexico City-AIFA, Monterrey, Villahermosa, and Nuevo Laredo direct, plus Guadalajara via an express stopover at AIFA).
✈ Statewide Market Position: As the largest carrier in Tamaulipas, Viva operates 14 routes across Tampico, Reynosa, Matamoros, and Nuevo Laredo, having transported roughly 500,000 passengers across the state so far in 2026.
