SKY Connects South America with Australia Through New Interline Agreement with Qantas. SKY Airlines continues to expand its international connectivity after signing a new interline agreement with Qantas Airways, the flagship carrier of Australia. The partnership will connect the Chilean airline’s network with passengers arriving from Oceania for the first time, facilitating access to multiple destinations across South America.

Under the agreement, Qantas passengers can travel from Australia to Santiago de Chile and connect onto SKY-operated flights to destinations such as Lima, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Florianópolis, and Montevideo, as well as several domestic cities across Chile.
“With this agreement with Qantas, we are taking an especially relevant step by connecting our network with travelers from Oceania for the first time, strengthening our presence in this new strategic market,” stated Julio Solar, Head of Routes and Alliances at SKY.
He added that the alliance will streamline international passenger access to the airline’s regional network in South America. The agreement is also designed to simplify the overall travel experience. Qantas passengers can already purchase combined itineraries that include SKY-operated flights under a single booking. Furthermore, the agreement allows passengers to check their baggage through to their final destination and complete a single check-in process.

The partnership with Qantas adds to SKY‘s existing interline agreements with airlines including Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, United Airlines, Air Canada, TAP Air Portugal, Air France, KLM, Air Europa, and Aerolíneas Argentinas. With this addition, SKY expands connection opportunities between Oceania and South America, leveraging Santiago as a primary hub for regional travel.
