The agreement covers repairable component support for Japan Airlines‘ E-Jets, aiming to sustain high levels of availability and operational reliability. The solution also features a dedicated parts inventory located close to the Japanese carrier’s main operating bases, enabling rapid access to critical components and minimizing potential service disruptions.
E-Jets have been an integral part of Japan Airlines‘ regional network since 2008, playing a key role in air connectivity across Japan. The contract renewal strengthens ties between both companies while supporting fleet maintenance demands driven by regional connectivity needs. According to Embraer, Japan Airlines‘ E-Jets fleet achieved an average dispatch reliability of 99.8% over the past six months, reflecting the operational availability of these aircraft.

Yuta Kawaguchi, Executive Officer and Vice President of Materials & Components Services at JAL Engineering, emphasized that the renewal ensures continued access to high-quality components, supporting safe and reliable operations. Meanwhile, Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, noted that the agreement reinforces a long-term partnership while delivering the responsiveness required to maximize E-Jets performance.
Embraer has operated in the Asia-Pacific region for nearly five decades, with more than 15 airlines across seven countries currently flying E-Jets. To support regional operators, the manufacturer maintains specialized personnel, authorized service centers, flight simulators, and a regional distribution hub holding over $120 million in spare parts inventory.
