Southwest Airlines Unveils Its Largest-Ever Summer Schedule for 2027 with New Routes. Southwest Airlines has opened bookings for its summer 2027 schedule, marking the largest summer operation in the carrier’s history. The expanded schedule features significant growth across key focus cities including Austin, Nashville, and San Diego, alongside a lineup of new and returning seasonal routes.

In Austin, the airline will operate up to 143 daily flights. During June and July, Southwest will introduce weekend services to Liberia (Costa Rica), Nassau (Bahamas), and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), supplementing existing international flights to Cancún, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and San José. Domestically, it will add or restore connections to Portland, Sarasota, Savannah, and Bozeman.

In Nashville, Southwest will reach up to 220 daily summer flights, adding new seasonal destinations such as Boise, Nassau, and Providenciales (Turks and Caicos Islands), while restoring services to Bozeman and Portland. Meanwhile, San Diego will host up to 150 daily departures, featuring year-round frequency increases to Austin and Seattle, a new seasonal Sunday route to Oklahoma City, and returning flights to Columbus, Milwaukee, and Pittsburgh.
