Across its intercontinental network, KLM is expanding its footprint in North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Minneapolis (United States) returns to the winter schedule for the first time since winter 2023, while San Diego will receive year-round winter service for the first time. In Latin America, flight frequencies to Panama City will increase up to ten weekly flights during peak travel periods, while São Paulo (Brazil) will be served nine times per week. Connectivity to Curaçao will also see a notable boost, operating nine weekly flights as standard, increasing to ten in January and February, 12 during the Christmas holiday period, and 11 during spring break.

Within Europe, KLM is adding capacity to seasonal destinations, offering an extra weekly frequency to both Rovaniemi and Kittilä (Finland), alongside an additional daily flight to Florence (Italy) and Basel (Switzerland). Subject to security conditions in the Middle East, the airline plans to resume scheduled flights to Dubai, Riyadh, and Dammam, while continuing its service to Tel Aviv. Furthermore, KLM is preparing to restore operations to Kigali (Rwanda) and Entebbe (Uganda). The Entebbe route, which was temporarily suspended due to travel restrictions stemming from an Ebola outbreak in Central Africa, is scheduled to operate four times per week pending the removal of current entry restrictions.

The arrival of KLM‘s first Airbus A350 at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) marks a major milestone in its fleet renewal plan, accelerating the retirement of its older Airbus A330-200 fleet. The A350 will make its commercial inauguration on the Toronto (Canada) route, which will feature 12 weekly flights, five of which will be operated by the new widebody. As additional A350s enter service throughout the winter, the aircraft type will be deployed to Montreal, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Nairobi. Meanwhile, routes to Aruba, Bonaire, Riyadh, Dammam, and Miami will transition primarily to Boeing widebody aircraft. Marjan Rintel, President and CEO of KLM, emphasized that the carrier is balancing personalized customer service with noise reduction and fuel-efficiency efforts across its hub operations, complemented by the launch of the Grand Café KLM dining concept in European Economy Class.
