South American ultra-low-cost carrier SKY Airline has reaffirmed its regional operational excellence after being named the most punctual airline in Latin America for the fourth time in 2026. According to the latest Cirium On-Time Performance Report, SKY Airline achieved a 91.52% on-time arrival rate throughout September, leading all competing carriers across South America and the wider continent. Cirium’s comprehensive data model tracked 100% of the airline’s scheduled flight operations during the month, recording an operational completion factor of 99.24%. This metric underscores the airline’s high reliability in operating scheduled services without cancellations.
In parallel, industry data provider OAG confirmed SKY‘s regional leadership, placing the airline at the top of its Latin American benchmark with a 91.2% punctuality score across more than 4,300 evaluated commercial flights. The consistent results from both tracking bodies demonstrate the airline’s ability to execute flight schedules dependably across a dense regional network that connects major metropolitan centers and secondary domestic markets.

Alfonso Visscher, Operational Management Manager at SKY, stated that these punctuality milestones reflect systemic refinements introduced across schedule planning, aircraft turnaround times, and ground service coordination. Visscher highlighted that respecting passenger travel time is the core foundation of the company’s customer service model, emphasizing that cross-departmental coordination allows flight dispatch teams to mitigate operational contingencies proactively before they impact passenger schedules.
Operating primary operating bases out of Santiago in Chile and Lima in Peru, SKY Airline operates a young and uniform single-aisle fleet comprising Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo aircraft. The integration of modern fleet technology with data-driven operations management continues to provide the carrier with a competitive edge across the South American aviation sector, delivering high schedule reliability and operational stability for leisure and corporate travelers alike.
