In the domestic market, the addition of Santa Rosa significantly boosts connectivity within California, offering non-stop flights to key cities such as San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, and Burbank. These routes feature various frequencies, including daily operations and limited services, along with a planned seasonal connection to Austin scheduled for October. With this move, the airline solidifies its position as a leading operator in the state in terms of capacity and passenger volume.

International Expansion On the international front, Southwest has commenced service to St. Maarten with daily flights from Orlando International Airport (MCO) and weekend frequencies from Baltimore/Washington International (BWI). This growth in the Caribbean builds on the international strategy the company launched in 2014, reinforcing its presence in premier tourist destinations. Additionally, the airline is introducing innovative initiatives such as the “Sip & Ship” program. This allows passengers to transport wine at no extra cost from select West Coast airports, enhancing the travel experience and the appeal of these new destinations.
