Argentina records its best March in history for air transport activity. The Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil reported that March 2026 became the best March ever recorded for the country’s commercial aviation sector, surpassing the previous record set in 2025. During this period, Argentine airports handled a total of 4,636,151 passengers and registered 35,956 movements, representing a 3% increase compared to the same month last year and confirming a sustained growth trend in the industry.

In the domestic market, traffic reached 2,980,406 passengers, marking a 9% increase compared to March 2023 and highlighting the key role of domestic flights in strengthening federal connectivity. Airports across the country showed significant growth, particularly in Resistencia (+80%), Trelew (+49%), Bahía Blanca (+30%), San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca (+22%) and Viedma (+16%). These results reflect increased air transport activity across the provinces and a strengthening of domestic route networks.

Meanwhile, the international segment also reached record levels, with 1,655,745 passengers, a 17% increase compared to 2025, along with 10,772 movements (+15%). Notable growth was recorded at airports such as Rosario (+73%), Córdoba (+64%) and San Salvador de Jujuy (+48%). Additionally, more than 255,000 passengers traveled directly abroad from regional airports without transiting through Buenos Aires, highlighting the increasing decentralization of international connectivity and the strengthening of Argentina’s aviation system.
