The airline Canaryfly has announced the launch of a new fare structure starting on May 19, 2026, aimed at providing passengers with a more flexible, affordable, and personalized travel experience. Until now, tickets with Canaryfly included services such as checked baggage and seat selection by default. With the new structure, passengers will have the option to add these services only if needed, paying an additional fee when applicable. According to Cathaysa Santana, the airline’s Marketing and Communications Director, the company will continue offering promotional fares starting at 5 euros per flight segment for residents, excluding taxes and issuance fees, when bookings are made at least one month in advance.

The updated fare system will feature three different categories. The first, called “Con lo Puesto,” is designed for light travelers and represents the airline’s most economical option. It includes a handbag or backpack plus an 8-kilogram cabin trolley, while allowing passengers to add optional services such as checked baggage or seat selection according to their needs. This fare is intended to maximize savings and provide an ultra-low-cost alternative for inter-island travel. The second category, “De LowCos,” will serve as a mid-range option, including cabin baggage and one checked suitcase of up to 20 kilograms. It also allows one date and time change for an additional fee, along with optional extras such as seat selection or a second checked bag.

The most comprehensive option, “FullEquip,” includes checked baggage, complimentary seat selection, unlimited date and time changes without penalties, and access to the waiting list, offering greater flexibility and convenience for passengers seeking a more complete travel experience. With this new fare system, Canaryfly aligns itself with the trends adopted by leading European airlines focused on efficiency and customization, while maintaining its “friendly low-cost” philosophy. The airline emphasized that all additional services can be purchased quickly and transparently through its website, allowing passengers to create the combination that best fits their budget and travel preferences.
