Currently, the airline operates two weekly flights on the route, every Monday and Friday, using Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft configured with 186 seats in a single-class layout. Meanwhile, Flybondi will continue operating the scheduled service until the final flights in early June. Flight FO 5880 departs Puerto Iguazú at 5:05 a.m. and arrives in Lima at 9:10 a.m. On the return leg, flight FO 5881 leaves the Peruvian capital at 10:10 a.m. and lands back in Iguazú at 6:05 p.m. However, no additional flights appear available in the reservation system after June 6.

The suspension represents another adjustment to Flybondi’s international network and could significantly impact air connectivity between northern Argentina and Peru. In addition, the route played an important role in boosting inbound tourism to the Iguazú Falls region while also offering travelers a low-cost option between both countries. As a result, Puerto Iguazú will once again face limited international air service options. The decision also reflects the broader challenges currently affecting low-cost carriers across Latin America, including operational costs, fluctuating demand, and network restructuring. For now, the airline advises affected passengers to visit its official website for information regarding flight changes, refunds, or alternative travel options.
