The flights are operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured to accommodate up to 300 passengers, including 270 seats in Economy Class and 30 seats in Premium Business. In addition, the service offers a flight time of approximately seven hours, connecting Fortaleza directly with Miami, one of the most popular destinations for Brazilian travelers in North America. Beyond passenger transportation, the resumed route also enhances cargo capacity between Brazil and the United States. Each flight can transport an average of 15 tons of cargo, supporting exports from northeastern Brazil, particularly perishable and high-value products such as seafood, fish, and industrial goods. At the same time, the operation will help meet increasing demand for imports and e-commerce shipments.

The Fortaleza–Miami route is part of LATAM’s broader international expansion strategy in Brazil. Currently, the airline operates flights to more than 90 international destinations and remains the market leader in both domestic and international aviation in Brazil. In Fortaleza, LATAM already connects passengers to major Brazilian cities including São Paulo, Recife, Salvador, Manaus, and Brasília, as well as international destinations such as Lisbon and Santiago de Chile. Looking ahead, the airline plans to continue expanding its global network in 2026 with new routes to Brussels, Cape Town, Punta Cana, and Ushuaia, further strengthening Brazil’s air connectivity with the world while supporting tourism, trade, and regional economic development.
