The airport’s growth is reflected in its passenger traffic figures. San Luis Potosí International Airport recorded a 13% increase in passenger traffic last year and has reported a further 14% rise so far this year. To support this expansion and maintain high operational standards, airport operator OMA has committed substantial resources to modernization projects. More than MXN 500 million was invested during the previous five-year period, while nearly MXN 600 million is planned for the current cycle. The investments will focus on upgrading runways, aprons, and taxiways, expanding commercial aircraft positions, modernizing technology and security systems, strengthening emergency services, and implementing environmental preservation initiatives. These projects will ensure the airport remains well-equipped to accommodate future growth while continuing to deliver a high-quality travel experience.
