The route operates three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, reconnecting eastern Venezuela with Copa Airlines’ extensive network through the Hub of the Americas® in Panama City. From its regional hub, the airline provides seamless access to more than 85 destinations across 32 countries throughout the Americas. The return of Barcelona is particularly significant because it is the only city in eastern Venezuela with a direct international air service, creating new opportunities for tourism, trade, investment, and family travel while strengthening the region’s links to key markets across the continent.

The resumed service adds approximately 1,500 monthly seats and offers passengers a fast and efficient connection experience through Panama, where travelers can access more than 385 daily flights with average connection times of 50 to 90 minutes. Copa Airlines also allows passengers to check their baggage through to their final destination, simplifying the travel process. With Barcelona back on its route map, Venezuela once again becomes one of the airline’s most important markets, matching Mexico with five destinations served and ranking as the fourth-largest country in Copa’s Latin American network by number of cities served, behind only the United States, Colombia, and Brazil. The relaunch underscores Copa Airlines’ commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and supporting Venezuela’s reintegration into the broader air transportation network across the Americas.
