On the Asia route, Iberia will operate a fourth weekly frequency between Madrid-Barajas Airport and the Narita International Airport from August 7 to October 23. The additional service will depart Madrid on Fridays, complementing the existing three weekly flights. With this increase, capacity on the route rises by approximately 33%, adding around 9,000 additional seats. Across the full year, Iberia expects to offer about 125,000 seats on this connection. The route is operated with the Airbus A350, configured for 348 passengers across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, and includes tailored onboard services for Japanese travelers.

In addition, Iberia will also add a new weekly frequency on the Madrid–Panama City route during August and September. The extra rotation will operate on Mondays, complementing the existing Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday services. This increase strengthens one of Iberia’s key transatlantic corridors, improving connectivity between Europe and Central America and supporting Madrid’s role as a strategic hub for international connections.

Through these adjustments, Iberia continues to align capacity with demand while consolidating its presence in high-value intercontinental markets.
