The airline posted a consolidated load factor of 84.6% in June, supported by an 85.9% load factor on domestic flights and 78.6% on international services. According to the company, market demand remained softer due to higher fuel costs, broader economic conditions, and changes in travel patterns associated with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, factors that have also affected other airlines across the region.

Viva CEO Juan Carlos Zuazua said the airline will continue managing capacity in a disciplined manner while focusing on maintaining reliable operations throughout the remainder of the year.

He also noted that aircraft availability continues to be affected by the ongoing Pratt & Whitney engine inspections and groundings impacting Airbus A320neo operators worldwide. As a result, Viva will continue adjusting its route network and flight schedules to preserve operational efficiency while meeting passenger demand.

The June results reinforce Viva’s strategy of sustainable growth, focusing on fleet optimization, maintaining strong load factors, and strengthening its position in Mexico’s competitive aviation market while navigating the operational challenges facing the global airline industry.
