Plus Ultra extends Valencia flights until August 31 due to Maiquetía closure. Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas has confirmed it will continue operating its flights to Venezuela through Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia until August 31, as Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía remains closed. The decision ensures continued air connectivity between Spain and Venezuela while Venezuelan aviation authorities determine the reopening date of the country’s main international airport.

  • ✈ Flights between Madrid and Valencia will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, departing Madrid at 13:00 and arriving in Valencia at 16:30.
  • ✈ Return services will leave Valencia at 19:00 and arrive in Madrid at 09:55 the following day. In addition, the airline will operate the Madrid–Valencia sector on Saturdays and the Valencia–Madrid service on Sundays.

The Tenerife North–Valencia route will also continue operating, with flights departing Valencia on Saturdays and returning from Tenerife North on Sundays.

Plus Ultra stated that it is awaiting further guidance from Venezuelan aviation authorities regarding the reopening of Caracas’ Maiquetía Airport. In the meantime, schedules, fares, and booking options remain available through global distribution systems (GDS), the airline’s website, and travel agencies. The temporary extension of these operations ensures uninterrupted connectivity between Spain and Venezuela during the ongoing operational restrictions.
