Aerolíneas Argentinas Adds Curaçao and Cartagena Flights for Summer 2027. Aerolíneas Argentinas has unveiled its flight plan for the summer 2027 season, featuring a total of 1,508,834 seats for January—a 13% increase compared to January 2026. The expansion is driven by a 13% capacity growth in domestic routes and a 16% rise in regional flights.

New Routes to the Caribbean and Brazil

• Cartagena (CTG): Launches January 1 with 5 weekly frequencies.

• Curaçao (CUR): Starts January 2 with 4 weekly flights (2 direct and 2 via Aruba).

• Córdoba – Cabo Frio: Operates from December 26 with 2 weekly flights, supplementing existing service from Buenos Aires and Rosario.

Regional and Long-Haul Enhancements

• Brazil & Uruguay: Florianópolis will see 36 weekly flights from Buenos Aires, along with direct flights from Córdoba, Rosario, Salta, and Tucumán. Rio de Janeiro will reach 40 weekly frequencies from the capital. Other active routes include São Paulo, Salvador, Porto Seguro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Punta del Este (28 weekly flights), and Montevideo (14 weekly flights).

• Caribbean & Long-Haul: The carrier will maintain daily service to Aruba and up to 7 weekly frequencies to Cancún and Punta Cana. Long-haul routes feature 16 weekly flights to Miami, 10 to Madrid, and 4 to Rome.

Domestic Connectivity

• Top Routes: Bariloche and Córdoba lead domestic connectivity with 70 weekly flights from Buenos Aires, followed by Mendoza and Iguazú (56), Ushuaia (55), and Salta (45).

• Inter-provincial Flights: Point-to-point regional routes bypassing Buenos Aires will continue, including Córdoba–Ushuaia, Mendoza–Bariloche, and Tucumán–Mar del Plata.

Fabián Lombardo, President and CEO of Aerolíneas Argentinas, highlighted that the new destinations expand the airline’s Caribbean footprint while strengthening regional capacity to provide a more efficient network.
