Emirates Unveils Next-Generation Fully Electric Premium Economy Seat for Airbus A350 Fleet. Emirates has unveiled a new Premium Economy seat design for its Airbus A350 fleet, introducing a world-first fully electric actuation system along with a full-height adjustable privacy screen within this cabin class. The upgraded configuration aims to offer passengers greater control over their personal space while raising comfort levels during long-haul flights. The dedicated cabin comprises 28 seats in a 2-3-2 layout, featuring a seat width of 20 inches and up to 39 inches of seat pitch.

The new seat allows travelers to electrically adjust both recline position and privacy dividers through integrated controls, offering preset settings optimized for dining and resting. The design integrates Safran Seats’ U-Dream headrest, leather leg rests, wireless charging pads, USB-C power ports, and a tray table with dedicated phone holders. Passengers can access the airline’s ice inflight entertainment system on a 13.3-inch 4K HDR touchscreen, while new external cameras mounted on the Airbus A350 provide high-definition exterior flight views.

This cabin upgrade aligns with the broader culinary and service experience that Emirates has developed since debuting its Premium Economy product in 2022. Passengers receive regionally inspired meals served on Royal Doulton chinaware, a curated premium beverage selection, and reusable amenity kits featuring Aveda skincare products on long-haul routes. By introducing fully electric seating controls and full-height privacy dividers across its expanding Airbus A350 fleet, Emirates continues to elevate the benchmark for Premium Economy by incorporating amenities traditionally associated with Business Class.
