ANA Orders Eight Embraer E190-E2 Aircraft. Embraer and ANA Holdings Inc. have finalized an agreement for the acquisition of eight E190-E2 aircraft, expanding the Japanese aviation group’s commitment to the Brazilian manufacturer’s next-generation regional jets. The firm order confirms the decision previously announced by ANA Holdings on July 29, 2026, and builds upon an initial contract signed in 2025 for 15 units. This brings ANA Holdings‘ firm commitment for E2 aircraft to 23 units, while the company retains five additional purchase options for the E190-E2.

The integration of these aircraft forms part of ANA Holdings‘ strategy to strengthen its regional connectivity network across Japan, particularly in markets requiring tailored capacity to meet local demand. The E190-E2 offers enhanced fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced noise footprints, enabling the airline to optimize operating costs while expanding connection options. Its seating capacity and range also provide operational flexibility to serve established regional routes and test new markets.
“This additional order of E190-E2s accelerates our efforts to build a sustainable regional aviation network in Japan,” stated Koji Shibata, President and CEO of ANA Holdings.
Highlighting the group’s confidence in Embraer‘s technology to lower environmental impact and operating expenses. Meanwhile, Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, noted that the E2 will contribute to expanding connectivity across Japan through its efficiency and profitability, while delivering enhanced passenger comfort.

Delivery of the first E190-E2 for ANA Holdings is scheduled for 2028. With this agreement, Embraer solidifies its presence in the Japanese market—where its E-Jets have operated since 2009—and reinforces its strategic relationship with ANA in a critical segment for domestic and regional connectivity.
