Air France Voted World’s Best First Class at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026. Air France was recognized at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026 with multiple accolades, headlined by La Première—its First Class cabin launched in 2025—being named the World’s Best First Class for the first time. Additionally, for the sixth consecutive year, the carrier was named Best Airline in Western Europe, while also taking home awards for Best First Class Lounge Dining and Best First Class Comfort Amenities, rising to seventh place in the global overall rankings.

“From the start of the new La Première cabin project, we set a clear goal: to offer the best First Class experience in the world. It is an exceptional and entirely new product, rooted in our heritage and reflecting our unique vision of the French art of travel. It took three years to design these suites, which feature five windows for the first time,” stated Benjamin Smith, CEO of Air France-KLM and Chairman of the Board of Air France.
To mark the achievement, Air France released a dedicated 35-minute documentary presented by Benjamin Smith, showcasing the exclusive La Première experience from ground services at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to the onboard suite aboard a Boeing 777-300ER. The film features contributions from renowned chef Alain Ducasse, who oversees the culinary menu at the La Première Lounge, and Isabelle d’Ornano, founder of French cosmetics brand Sisley.

The documentary also reviews the 70-year history of Air France‘s First Class, highlighting historical milestones such as the 1950s Super Constellation “Parisien Spécial,” the Boeing 707 lounge area, and the iconic red seats of the Boeing 747.
